Super Invar 32-5 is a magnetic, austenitic metal with minimum thermal expansion properties.
Heat Treatment
Some fabricating practices can cause variations in expansion behavior. Heat treat toward end of process.
Annealing
Heat to 1450°F and hold 30 min/inch thickness. Air cool.
Heating above 1000°F removes cold work stresses. The higher the temp, the lower the annealed hardness.
