Measures of Central Tendency – Mean, Median, and Mode
August 10, 2024 ⚊ 1 Min read ⚊ Views 14 ⚊ TECHMeasures of central tendency describe the center of a data set. The mean is the average, calculated by summing all values and dividing by the number of values. The median is the middle value when the data is sorted in ascending order; if there’s an even number of values, it’s the average of the two central values. The mode is the value that appears most frequently. Each measure provides different insights: the mean is sensitive to extreme values, the median is robust to outliers, and the mode identifies the most common value.
