How Is A Worm Different From A Trojan?

Both worm and trojan are malicious programs designed to infect a PC and steal the data and corrupt the file in computers. But the there is a difference in them. A worm is a virus that uses self-replication process to increase and spread in a system. On the other hand a trojan is a fake program or app that looks authentic and legitimate but from inside it is a malware. Users often download trojans on their PC often failing to identity them due to their real look and feel. Once it is inside the system it starts wreaking havoc and do all kinds of malicious activities that disrupts the system.
