A Revolution in T20 Cricket or too much Exploration
April 2, 2023 ⚊ 1 Min read ⚊ Views 95 ⚊ SPORTSRight now, this rule seems to be pretty much like a substitute rule. If you bat first, you swap out a batsman and bring on an extra bowler in the second inning.
Maybe some tweaks in the rules can make it tactically more challenging and exciting at the same time for the viewers without affecting the roles of all-rounders and “bits and pieces” players.
Substitutions can be made after 12 overs of the first inning; you can decide to sub out a player who has bowled less than 2 overs or hasn’t yet batted. This requires some extra strategic thinking based on the match situation.
